Robotics Workshops

UNSW COMPUTING offers specialised robotics workshops which focus on the use of the Lego NXT technology combined with the popular RoboCup Junior competition for school students.

As well as the thrill of building a robot, students will be exposed to several Programming languages with a hands-on approach.

Primary School Workshops

Introduce your primary school class to robotics.

These workshops are a free, full day excursion to a Computer Science laboratory where students will be taught how to build and program a robot using Lego Mindstorms.

The workshops are for Year 5 and Year 6 students only.

RoboCup Junior Workshops

Learn about entering a team in the RoboCup Junior competition.

UNSW Computing is a major sponsor of this robotics competition, and the School of Computer Science and Engineering is running free workshops for school teachers and students.

Workshops can be run as a class excursion, or after school coaching clinics at UNSW.

High School Teachers

Looking for robotics activities to stimulate and extend your students?

The School of Computer Science and Engineering is interested hearing from you.

CSE are able to provide access to one of their Computer Science Laboratories where students can build and program robots to do a variety of tasks, including Robot Soccer.

Workshops can be arranged as school excursion or weekend workshops for students, teachers and/or parents.
