The UNSW Prog Comp has the overall aim of raising awareness amongst high school students of the craft of programming and to encourage students to develop and apply their computing knowledge and skills.
It is organised by The School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at The University of New South Wales (UNSW) . UNSW is actively involved in encouraging and supporting high school students with an interest in computing and Information Technology through several programs (see www.computing.unsw.edu.au). The UNSW Prog Comp has been run annually since 1997 and this year is celebrating its 10th year. From a small beginning, it now attracts entries from all over the nation.
