| An Engineering Discipline At UNSW, computing is part of the Faculty of Engineering and so our Degree Programs have a focus on the creation of new technology rather than the application of current technologies. Our graduates easily adapt to the new technologies as they emerge without the need to retrain. The Melbourne Institute in 2006 ranked UNSW ENGINEERING as the best performing Engineering Faculty in Australia.  The Times London Educational Suppliment in 2005 nominated UNSW ENGINEERING as the best in Australia.  UNSW COMPUTING focuses on computing alone, resulting in great synergy since they don't split their teaching with other fields like business studies. (Computer Science also belongs to Engineering at UNSW.) |  |
